There is a lot of noise in K-pop fandoms.

Comparisons, fights, sides, hate.

And in the middle of all that noise, there are artists who just want to make music.

The NewLit Project was created to do something simple, but rare:

support NewJeans and ILLIT together, in a healthy and respectful way.

No sides.

No hate.

No fandom wars.

What is the NewLit Project?

The NewLit Project is a fan-led initiative focused on healthy K-pop support.

It exists to show that it is possible to support all ten girls from NewJeans and ILLIT without turning music into competition.

NewJeans and ILLIT are often placed against each other by toxic fandom behavior.

NewLit rejects that narrative.

This project believes that:

music is not a battlefield

idols are not rivals

supporting one group does not require hating another

Why NewLit exists

Fandom culture can be beautiful, but it can also become harmful.

Toxic behavior affects not only fans, but also the artists’ reputations, mental health, and public perception.

The NewLit Project was created to:

put aside toxic fandom behavior

stop unnecessary hate

protect the image of NewJeans and ILLIT

promote calm, respectful support

This is not about being neutral.

This is about being intentional.

NewJeans + ILLIT can coexist

One of the core messages of NewLit is simple:

NewJeans and ILLIT can coexist.

They are different.

They have different sounds, concepts, and energies.

And that is exactly why there is room for both.

The idea that only one group can succeed is a product of toxic fandom culture, not reality.
